Maison Artefact is a London-based antique dealer and interior design practice with antiques at the heart of a contemporary aesthetic.

Established in 2000 by Victoria Davar, Maison Artefact composes calm, atmospheric interiors; harmonising select French and Swedish antiques with a pure and elegant aesthetic. The approach instils a quiet beauty, effortlessly pairing simplicity with the extraordinary.

Our services encompass antique sourcing, restoration, bespoke design and interior commissions. We work closely with our clients to develop personal interiors and meaningful collections which reflect individual tastes and interests. Our expert team is made up of trusted assistants, restorers, gilders, upholsterers and florists alongside a network of international specialist dealers and designers.

The Lillie Road store curates a continually changing display of art, furniture and homeware. Available to view in context, our carefully chosen pieces range from eighteenth century prints and portraiture, to Swedish cabinets and contemporary commissions. Our interior projects are led by Victoria Davar to produce schemes which are calm, considered and uplifting. Ranging from contemporary apartments to historic country houses, each project is developed in close collaboration with the client.

Victoria Davar is an antiques dealer, interior designer, and the founder of Maison Artefact.

Over the past two decades she has built a reputation for her expertise in specialist buying and her calm, elegant aesthetic attracts clients from all over the world.

Maison Artefact now sells an ever-changing collection of eighteenth century to mid-twentieth century Swedish, Italian and English decorative antiques.  Victoria specialises in placing antiques alongside contemporary furniture to create deceptively simple spaces that are imbued with atmosphere.

Impressed by her carefully curated selection in-store, she moved into interior design as clients asked her to remodel their homes.

Across her years of sourcing and designing, each project she takes on, though unique, is a powerful play of natural light, neutral colour palettes and antiques mixed to create a sense of considered tranquility.

Whether buying for her store or for individual clients, Victoria believes in being moved by a piece or space. She has to fall in love with the items she sources and happily have them in her own home – it's this highly personal approach that defines her success.
