A remnant of Pierre Frey's 'Coromandel' from the Braquenié range in the 'Fond Crème' colourway. The designer notes that, 'around 1778, the first Indian-inspired motifs appeared in the productions of the famous Oberkampf manufactory, which had a rich collection of Indians from which the designers drew inspiration.
